Related list visible in classic but not in lightning

Have you noticed that the related list in the page layout looks good in the classic version of salesforce but not visible in the Lightning version? Field level security or FLS settings might be one of the reasons.

Check the below mentioned settings and see if you can get the related list in the lightning version

1. Login to salesforce
2. Go to setup > profiles section
3. Open the profile which is having related list visibility issue
4. Click the object settings 
5. Click the object name [in this step choose the object that belongs to the related list which is not displaying in the lightning page layout]
6. Scroll down to the Field permissions
7. Check if read access is enabled to all the fields
8. Enable read access to all lookup or master-detail fields

After the above-mentioned configurations test if the user can see the missing related list in the lightning version of the salesforce.
